*Blue River is Running* was hosted by the director of the Murray Hill Art Museum, Mr. Yang Hao. In his opening speech, Mr. Yang shared the story of his serendipitous encounter with Gary Komarin and read a letter from the artist dedicated to the exhibition. Gary Komarin's son, the Secretary-General of the Wuhan Fine Arts Association, also delivered remarks. The opening ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including the Chairman of the China Auction Association, poet Yan Li, painter and landscape designer Zhang Lijun, and Celebrity Media CEO Ashley.

Komarin’s techniques are filled with spontaneity and serendipity, often guided by intuition and emotional flow rather than preliminary sketches. His oil paintings feature vibrant, dynamic colors and fluid lines that seem devoid of fixed rules, yet reveal a captivating sense of balance and order within their apparent randomness. This coexistence of freedom and restraint lends his works a dramatic and dreamlike poetic quality.

"Komarin's works do not merely convey visual abstraction but represent a flow of emotions and thoughts," said curator Huang Hui in his opening remarks. "His techniques bring abstraction closer to viewers, serving as a bridge between their emotions and the spirit of the times."
